Blue Journey - A Freedive Photo Adventure Retreat

SEVEN DAYS OF IMMERSIVE FREEDIVING PHOTOGRAPHY IN PARADISE

Join us for Blue Journey by Ocean Lens Retreats, an exclusive retreat created alongside underwater photographer Laura Juan Marti — a talented photographer I met during the world championship and with whom I’ve since built a wonderful friendship. Together, we’ve designed a truly unique experience set in one of the most breathtaking corners of the planet: Huvadhoo Atoll, Maldives.

Dive into the excitement of capturing marine life and vibrant coral ecosystems in the Maldives’ crystal-clear waters. You’ll learn essential freediving photography skills to create your most powerful underwater images yet.

Beyond the ocean sessions, we’ll explore pristine islands, connect with local communities, and visit remote inhabited islets that few travelers ever get to see.

No professional camera needed — just a GoPro, curiosity, and the desire to grow. Through hands-on workshops, you’ll immerse yourself in technique, intuition, and the freedom of expressing yourself in a world without gravity.

To join us, you’ll need a basic freediving certification (AIDA 2, Molchanovs Wave 1, or equivalent) and confidence in the ocean. Ideally, you should be able to dive around 10 meters with fins.

Not quite there yet? No problem — the Molchanovs 1 certification only takes 2.5 days! If you’re interested, we can share details about our training programs.

Limited to just 12 participants.
An intimate experience designed for true ocean lovers.

SEVEN DAYS OF IMMERSIVE FREEDIVING PHOTOGRAPHY EXPERIENCE

Together with Laura Juan Marti, an underwater photographer I met at the world championship—and with whom I’ve built a beautiful friendship—we created the Ocean Lens retreats. In these retreats, we want to share our knowledge of photography in some of the most unique places in the world—in this case, Coron, Philippines.

In the stunning waters of Coron, we will guide you to unlock your creativity and take your photography to the next level.

You will explore some of the most beautiful underwater spots in the region, places that spark inspiration and bring new ideas to life.

Throughout the retreat, we will accompany you in developing a creative project that is authentically yours, helping you discover your own artistic voice.

You don’t need a professional camera: just a GoPro, an open mind, and the desire to learn. Through guided workshops, you’ll dive into technique, intuition, and the freedom to express yourself in a gravity-free world.

To participate, you need a basic freediving certification (AIDA 2, Molchanovs Wave 1, or equivalent) and to feel comfortable in the ocean. Ideally, you should be able to dive about 10 meters with fins.

Not quite there yet? No problem — the Molchanovs 1 certification only takes 2.5 days! If you’re interested, we can share details about our training programs.

Lens of Change - A Conservation Photo Retreat

Together with Laura Juan Marti, an underwater photographer I met at the world championship and with whom I have built a wonderful friendship, we created the Ocean Lens retreats. Through these retreats, we aim to share our knowledge of photography in some of the most unique locations in the world—this time, in Baja California.

We believe that photography is a powerful way to explore the many facets of one’s inner world, and this retreat is no exception. With a clear and meaningful purpose, it invites you to engage directly in impactful conservation initiatives. You will learn to approach photography from a documentary perspective, developing the skills needed to communicate a message that resonates far beyond the water.

A portion of the retreat’s proceeds is reinvested directly into the conservation projects we undertake together, ensuring that your creative journey contributes to a lasting and tangible impact.
